Meadows Presbyterian Church - Limit: 25

Bunny (yes, it’s my real name) Sheppard has had a varied career.  She has taught at several universities (UVa, USC, U of Michigan Business School) and held a number of senior positions, both government-related (Dean of Faculty, IRMC, National Defense University; Assistant to a U.S. Senator; and at the Federal Executive Institute) and in the private sector (Martin Marietta and Electronic Data Systems). She received her doctorate from UVa, with additional work from Columbia University.

Most of us are always in some state of transition, whether we choose it or it happens. No matter whether you are considering retiring, moving, working part time, volunteering, or dealing with major personal changes, the purpose of this course is to give you the opportunity to have a better understanding of your strengths, areas for improvement, and, most important, expanding your choice of options.  We will look back at your accomplishments and skills (we all have some, by the way) and see how that information can help you make better current and future decisions.  We will discuss the stages of transition and how to more effectively deal with them. We also will talk about ways to explore options and end the class by drafting a possible action plan.
