Thomas C. MacAvoy is the Paul M. Hammaker Professor of Business Administration, Emeritus, at the Darden Graduate School of Business, UVa. He retired as vice chairman of Corning Incorporated in 1987 and served on the Darden faculty from 1988 to 1998.  He is a trustee emeritus of the Corning Museum of Glass.
