Keith Eubank is Professor of History Emeritus, Queens College, The City University of New York. He is the author of numerous books and scholarly articles.

The discovery of nuclear ballistic missiles secretly installed in Cuba by the Soviet Union in 1962 precipitated a crisis in Soviet-American relations. It was the most dangerous episode in the history of the Cold War. The two nations appeared to be on the brink of war. In this course we will examine this crisis and its effects on relations between the two powers.
